Overview

The TEIN Flex Z coilover kit is built to combine everyday comfort with sharper handling on rear-wheel-drive Tesla Model 3 (2017-2027) and Model Y (2020-2027). It evolved from TEIN's Street Flex line and is manufactured in Yokohama, Japan, using a twin-tube oil and gas design that stays composed over rough pavement while tightening up body control when you push.

Ride height and spring preload adjust separately, so you keep full damper stroke at any height, and damping is adjustable across 16 stages to dial in the feel you want.

Why Twin-Tube

Because the oil and gas chambers are not stacked in series, a twin-tube damper secures more stroke and runs at lower gas pressure, which keeps friction low. The result is a supple feel at low speed and stable control at higher speed, even with larger wheels and a lowered stance.

Built To Last

Shell cases use high-strength STKM13C steel and TEIN's in-house ZT coating for protection against stone chips and rust, which makes the kit well suited to wet climates and coastal areas. Final assembly is done in a clean room for consistent quality and reliability.

Sealed Damper Design

Flex Z uses a sealed damper from the factory, which is a big part of how TEIN keeps the price down. If service is ever needed, TEIN offers a low-cost, quick replacement program rather than a traditional rebuild.

Rear note: TEIN recommends the EDFC series for rear damping adjustment, since the rear can be difficult to reach by hand depending on vehicle layout.
