A powder-coated heat shield keeps intake temps in check while the open-element design feeds the turbo a larger volume of air, right where it wants it.

Long-term tests have shown these engines loosen up and pull harder with miles on them. Give yours even less to fight against on the intake side and that turbocharged four keeps overdelivering.
